A tale of reverence for the land, family heritage and enduring community bonds.

Our Family Tree

Generations in the Making

The centerpiece of this Estate is a solitary sentinel—an ancient pine tree. This storied tree is a symbol of resilience and strength, qualities our family has embodied throughout our journey as winegrowers in the Okanagan Valley.

Timeless Traditions

Language as Living Matter

The name Ailm, inspired by the ancient Irish Tree Language known as Ogham, honours our heritage and generational connection to horticulture. Ailm is associated with pine trees in this language where each character emerges from a central line, like branches on a tree.

Meticulous Craftsmanship

Patience & Persistence

Our story began over a century ago when the Stewart Family planted roots in the Okanagan Valley. With each vintage, new possibilities are seeded, built on the knowledge of those who’ve come before and inspiring future generations. Like budburst in the spring, Ailm takes shape with artfully crafted wines that celebrate passion.

A Sense of Place

As stewards of this exceptional land, we strive to create wines that embody the spirit of the Okanagan Valley—honouring past traditions, challenging conventions, and continually seeking new ways to nurture nature and support our community.
